Bellflower Unified School District (BUSD) is a public school district serving the city of Bellflower, California, and portions of Lakewood and Cerritos. Established in 1956, the district operates 15 schools, including 10 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 2 high schools, and 1 alternative education center. The district serves approximately 12,000 students from kindergarten through twelfth grade. BUSD is governed by a five-member Board of Education, elected by the community to serve four-year terms. The district employs over 600 certificated teachers and staff members.
