Camden City School District (CCSD) is a public school district serving Camden, New Jersey. Established in 1854, it is one of the largest school districts in South Jersey, operating numerous elementary, middle, and high schools throughout the city. The district serves approximately 6,000 students across its traditional public schools. In 2013, the district underwent significant changes when the New Jersey Department of Education took control of the school system due to academic and administrative challenges.
