The brand re-entered the U.S. market in 2011 after a 27-year absence, initially through the launch of the Fiat 500. Fiat dealerships in the United States operate as authorized retailers of new Fiat vehicles, certified pre-owned vehicles, parts, and service. The U.S. dealership network was established to support Fiat’s return to the American market following the company’s alliance with Chrysler (now part of Stellantis). These dealerships, known as “studios” in Fiat’s corporate terminology, were initially set up within existing Chrysler Group dealerships or as standalone facilities. The dealership network has adapted over time to changing market conditions, particularly as Fiat’s U.S. model lineup has evolved to focus more on crossover vehicles like the Fiat 500X, while discontinuing other models such as the standard Fiat 500 in North America.
