The Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD) is a California public school district comprised of 69 schools, serving students in Garden Grove, Stanton, Westminster, and portions of Anaheim, Cypress, Fountain Valley, La Quinta, and Santa Ana. Founded in 1958, GGUSD is the third largest school district in Orange County, with over 40,000 students and employs over 4,000 staff members including 1,600 teachers. GGUSD schools offer a comprehensive educational program, ranging from early education and elementary school through high school, adult education and preschool programs. There are 45 schools offering K-6 education, 10 schools offering K-8 education, 9 intermediate schools that offer seventh and eighth grade education, and five high schools that offer ninth through twelfth grade education. In addition to traditional educational programs, GGUSD offers a number of specialized programs for students with particular needs and interests. These include dual immersion language programs, honors and advanced placement courses, career and technical education programs, special education, and athletics. GGUSD schools are committed to academic excellence and providing students with a well-rounded education.
