Students who had enrolled in the college were offered loan forgiveness by the government through the borrower defense to repayment. The closure of Heald College-Concord was a major blow to the students who had already completed their courses. The sudden shutdown left them with no option but to find another institution to transfer their credits to in order to complete their degree.
