In 1961, it was renamed Hudson Valley Community College and became part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system. Today, HVCC offers more than 85 degree and certificate programs in a wide range of disciplines, including liberal arts, business, health science, engineering, technology, and computer science. The college serves more than 12,000 students each year, including full- and part-time students, high school students enrolled in the Early College High School program, adults seeking career development opportunities, and students with disabilities. HVCC is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and is a member of the American Association of Community Colleges. The college is committed to providing affordable, high-quality education and workforce training programs to its students, and to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning community.
