National 4-H Council is a non-profit youth development organization headquartered in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Founded in 1902, 4-H is delivered by Cooperative Extension—a community of more than 100 public universities across the nation—and is supported by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The organization’s name represents its four core values: Head, Heart, Hands, and Health. The organization serves as the national headquarters for 4-H youth development programs, which reach nearly six million young people across the United States.
