The Pleasanton Unified School District (PUSD) is a public school district located in Pleasanton, California. It serves approximately 14,500 students in eighteen schools, including ten elementary schools, three middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, one continuation high school, one adult school, and one preschool. Founded in 1869, the district has a long history of delivering quality education to the students in the community. PUSD prides itself on offering a range of educational programs, including special education, gifted and talented, career technical education, and English language learner programs. The district is governed by a five-member Board of Trustees, who work closely with the Superintendent and other district leaders to set policies and make decisions that support student achievement.
