San José Unified School District (SJUSD) is a public school district serving the city of San José in California, USA. Established in 1853, SJUSD operates 40 elementary schools, 10 middle schools, and 7 high schools, serving over 30,000 students. SJUSD is led by a superintendent, and governed by a seven-member Board of Education, each member elected by the public.
