Share Our Strength is a non-profit organization based in America that aims to end childhood hunger in the United States. The organization was established in 1984 by sibling duo Bill and Debbie Shore. Share Our Strength collaborates with community organizations, chefs, volunteers, and advocates to raise awareness, advocacy, and funds to combat childhood hunger. Through their No Kid Hungry campaign, Share Our Strength focuses on the prevention, ending, and remedy of childhood hunger among American youths. To that end, Share Our Strength implements grant strategies geared toward providing free meals, nutrition education, and strengthening federal and state food programs for school-going children. Share Our Strength also employs several programs and strategies to provide assistance to low-income families, increase the availability of nutritious food choices, and develop public policies that improve access to food and reduces their nutritional gap. Since its inception, Share Our Strength has raised several million dollars to establish programs across America to address childhood hunger and malnutrition. The organization has also partnered with hundreds of corporations, chefs, philanthropists, and advocates throughout the United States to combat the prevalent issue of childhood hunger in the nation.
