Tellico Village Property Owners Association (POA) is a private, non-profit organization that manages and operates Tellico Village, a planned residential community located in Loudon County, Tennessee. Established in 1986, the community spans approximately 5,000 acres along Tellico Lake, a reservoir created by the Tennessee Valley Authority. The POA serves as the governing body for the community, providing essential services and maintaining common areas and amenities for its residents. The organization oversees three championship golf courses (Tanasi, Toqua, and The Links at Kahite), a yacht club, a recreation center, multiple restaurants, and various recreational facilities. The community features over 50 miles of streets and walking trails, along with water and sewer infrastructure. Tellico Village POA operates under a board of directors elected by property owners and employs professional staff to manage day-to-day operations. The organization collects assessment fees from property owners to fund community maintenance, improvements, and services. The POA also manages architectural control and covenant enforcement to maintain community standards and property values. The community has grown to include over 4,000 homes and approximately 8,000 residents, making it one of the largest planned communities in East Tennessee. Tellico Village consistently ranks among the top retirement communities in the Southeast United States.
