The Yankees Entertainment & Sports Network (YES Network) is an American regional cable and satellite television network that is primarily devoted to broadcasting the New York Yankees Major League Baseball team and Brooklyn Nets National Basketball Association team. The YES Network was founded in March 2002 with the formal name of Yankee Entertainment and Sports Network, LLC, by the New York Yankees, Goldman Sachs and others. The network reaches over 9 million households in the New York City metropolitan area and seven other states, including Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland. The YES Network provides live game coverage of both the Yankees and Nets, as well as pre-game and post-game shows, team and player profiles, interviews and analysis. The network also features other sports programming, including college sports, boxing, and soccer. In addition, the network broadcasts original programming, including the Emmy-winning documentary series “Yankeeography,” as well as “CenterStage with Michael Kay,” and “The Michael Kay Show.” Since its launch, the YES Network has become one of the most-watched regional sports networks in the United States. The network has won numerous awards for its programming, including 80 New York Emmy Awards and two National Sports Emmys.
