Grossmont Union High School District (GUHSD) is a public school district serving East County San Diego, California. Established in 1920, the district operates nine comprehensive high schools, two charter schools, one alternative school, and three special program sites. The district serves approximately 17,000 students across communities including El Cajon, Santee, La Mesa, Lemon Grove, and unincorporated areas of eastern San Diego County. The district’s comprehensive high schools include Grossmont High School, Helix High School, El Cajon Valley High School, Mount Miguel High School, El Capitan High School, Granite Hills High School, Monte Vista High School, Santana High School, and West Hills High School. GUHSD also operates two charter schools: Steele Canyon High School and River Valley Charter School.
